Nokia 6 VOLTE Enabled?

Hi,
Has Nokia certified the Nokia 6 to support VOLTE on AT&T as we know most non branded android devices do not support AT&T VOLTE and falls back to UTMS for voice.

@ubepaul   You have it backwards.  It is not a fault of the phone or the manufacturer.    AT&T does not support VoLTE on non branded android (or other) devices.

The ATT system looks for its own tiny bit of code in non Apple phones.  When it does not find that bit of programming, identifying it as a branded phone, it denies VoLTE and all that goes with it.

I don't have it backwards fyi the manufacturer is the only party who can request certification.  Than when byod imei is checked on AT&T network if its whitelisted  it will enable VOLTE if the byod device is not certified by the manufacturer it will use UTMS. Actually, there are a few non-branded devices that support VoLTE (at the very least) on AT&T's network. The HTC A9, HTC 10, LeEco Le Pro 3, Axon 7, and the Alcatel POP 4+ all support VoLTE on AT&T's network Samsung never bothered to certify their devices. Verizon and T-Mobile always support byod VOLTE devices.  AT&T just wants customers to buy their Android branded phones with all the bloatware.  Hopefully Nokia got this certified. Ah I checked with ATT care on twitter they are stating  the Nokia 6 will support VOLTE but not wifi calling

I checked with Nokia and it's not supported. A att customer service rep really has no clue what's going on these days. If you call back you will get a different story.

They said the pixel would work with volte in beginning also and it doesn't.

Most are surprised the HTC u11 does not support it. I'm not.

there is no certification with tmobile(and on verizon there isnt if you already have a active sim card).  Almost any phone will get enhanced LTE services on Tmobile....  Tmobile does not have a absolute IMEI check like ATT does.  For instance I can take the sim out of my s8+ put it in my pixel xl and get the menus for enhanced LTE services on the Pixel XL for about 3 to 5 minutes then the system picks the IMEI up and says NO to enhanced LTE services.  ATT could allow it on any phone if they wanted.  If you notice no phone released in 2017 can use Volte on ATT and there is a reason for that MONEY.

ah that figures with T-Mobile.. not suprised....  Wonder Why Verizon allow you would think that they have a complete database  Of course its revenue driven!   limited selection of bloatware devices

If it were strictly an IMEI check, every one plus with a dummy IMEI to get LTE, should be able to slip by ATT, and get VoLTE also. And the system that recognizes both my Pixel and Moto pure as LTE, because the IMEI is in their data base.
Since that isn't the case, white listing is not where it's at. . The system must be looking for more

was thinking the same thing maybe there's additional software that is installed by manufacturer of the device once its certified.

think about this...  The HTC U11 will work on verizon as a LTE only device since it has no CDMA radios that work with verizon.  BUT you have to have the sim card in another phone with LTE and HDvoice activated BEFORE you put the sim in the U11.
