No Pie Update Note 9

Hello! I'm working with a SM-960U. I have still not received an update for Pie. I haven't received any software updates for my phone since at least October 2018. I have version 8.1 and a security patch dated October 1 2018. I've tried manufacturer reset, with WIFI, without WIFI, and all this device does is a quick check when I attempt to search for any updates and then it tells me there aren't any. It's starting to frustrate me because we will have paid over $1000 for something I cannot get software updates for other than my apps via Google.

 

I have contacted Samsung about my trouble and they left me hanging in chat for over 15 minutes without responding to me and I gave up and disconnected. I understand these updates are coming out in batches, but it's now April and still nothing is that normal? 

 

What would you folks recommend to reach a resolution for this problem? Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this device until I can switch back to Apple. And here I thought going to Samsung was a great idea.

Did you just take the sim card out of your old phone and put it in your new one?

This was a brand new sim card into a brand new phone. However, I did have to replace the original phone I bought bc there was a major malfunction in the speakers. So I had taken the sim card from that device and put it into the replacement device.
