I have never been able to recieve messages since I have gotten service with you guys unless they other person has att aswell have called customer care but always have me do the same steps and still doesnt work what do I have to do to make it work

I have the EXACT issue, except I cannot sent texted photos to non-AT&T phones. I can send and receive plain text messages. I have been working on trying to fix this since I switched to AT&T on 3/11/2020. Soooo, good luck getting yours to work!!

I cand send fine and the person will recieve the message but I wont recieve the messages. I have a galaxy note 9 and I have had this problem since I got service with att

We understand this must be frustrating for you.

  • We also want to know if this is specific to a contact or general
  • Are you experiencing delays in message delivery or total non-delivery
  • Have you checked your message settings for a blocked list
  • Is the device AT&T branded or unlocked from another carrier
  • What service provider is/are your message sender(s) using
  • Did you try troubleshooting your messages for a resolution.

In my case it is THIS:

Switched from Verizon with Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N930V), using Samsung Messages that came on phone for texting. I cannot text pics to non-AT&T users. I can text pictures to other AT&T users, but CANNOT text pictures to Verizon, and assume other, provider users. When trying to send I get a little note on bottom left of text that says "MMS" with a little spinner spinning for about 10 minutes (phone gets hot). Then phone dings and says Sending Failed, Message Failed. When I look at failed message a red exclamation point is in bottom left where MMS and spinner was. I have tried: Data on , with Wi-fi off, Data on with Wi-fi on, Wi-fi only on Data off (this works to send to other AT&T users). Same results, sending for 10 min. or so, then FAILS. I have chatted and called AT&T many times, no help! I cannot go back to AT&T Store as closed for corona virus. I have tried everyting I could find on "MyAT&T." APN settings ARE correct, and SIM card is from AT&T with the proper numerical code on it......
