No longer able to send group texts

This just started about a month ago. I can receive, but sending results in "FAIL!"

No more than five people in any of these groups.

I have tried adding each person individually and responding that way.

I made an appt with the store and the employee didn't have a clue.

I called tech support they told me I needed a new phone.

I have a S9 thats exactly one year old.

I am using the stock messaging.

This appears to be a widespread problem since the last update so someone needs to fix it!!

Greetings @jeni1072

Not being able to use the Group Messaging feature on your mobile device can be annoying. It would be our pleasure to assist!

Are recipients of the group message are experiencing the same problem when replying back to you? Is your device updated with the latest software? Have you check to see your Advance Messaging Feature is turn on?

We recommend using our  Device Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool/ Galaxy S9,S9+ by selecting Messaging which is located in the Service/Network Issues section for troubleshooting steps.

Also, you can review our previous forum post: AT&T Things To Know: Android Group Messaging for more information with connecting your device with the messaging feature.

We hope this helps, and have an awesome day!

I have been dealing with the same issue for three weeks. Finally got it solved today after calls to ATT and Samsung. The new update is not capatible with the old group text software. What they had me do is go to, Settings Apps top right corner tap the three dots tap "show system apps" Scroll down in the apps list to the "phone" app with a green icon tap "force stop" Once you do this you will need to delete the old group conversations and recreate the group and you will be able to send text.
