Why will AT@T not stand behind their product? Its because they KNOW they screwed up and don't want to admit it. The Motivate phones are trash . . you do NOT want to buy one.

AT&T doesn't make phones; the Motivate is made by Emblem Solutions.
That said, I wouldn't expect too much out of a $50 phone. If you don't like it, you can use a different phone.
