Have been with ATT 24 years putting up with their update/patches. Switching to Mint Mobile. It has taken 3 days to get ATT to unlock my phone so I can use it. Put in the unlock request 3 days ago, 'chatted' with countless people, am still without a phone. They are telling me now that it will be another 24-48 hours.

What's going on with this?
I just noticed that 3 of my devices, which were all purchased outside of any carrier deal, sim-free, and unlocked, which I brought over to AT&T from another carrier (who never locked them to their netowork), now they are locked to the AT&T network. The 4th device is an iPad 10, I didn't specify a carrier when I bought it from Apple. I never received a message that they were locked to AT&T until this week. They didn't used to be.
Was there some change in the TOS that says they would start locking all devices?
