My unlocked phone will not allow mobile hotspot with Consumer Cellular
I am using an unlocked Google Pixel 3a phone with a Consumer Cellular SIM. Phone and data work fine. However, when I try to turn on Wifi Hotspot, I get the error message: "An eligible data plan is required to use personal mobile hotspot. Please visit att.com/personalhotspot or myAT&T to change your plan. You also may call AT&T at 611 for assistance." I am NOT an AT&T customer. Mobile Hotspot works fine on my HTC A9S. Why is AT&T allowed to disable a feature on the Google Pixel 3a when I am not an AT&T customer?
