My phone doesn't stick to 5G

I have an unlocked motorola edge+ 2022, I know very well that it is not a certified device and that it should not work but it does, I still have a tcl stylus 5g that is not certified and works perfectly too. The motorola has worked very well for me for a few weeks without problems until 2 days ago I was using a pixel 7 pro when at the moment I lost all signal and it took a long time to return, when it returned it did not stick to 5g and I did not have the options either in mobile networks, only lte. I put the sim in the motorola to test and the same thing happened. I had to call support and they gave a sim a refresh and the 5g came back, it works on the pixel, the tcl but the motorola does not.

This is what you must deal with if you have an unsupported device.   If you're looking for a solution, you've already found one it's just not convenient and it's time-consuming. AT&T has no interest in providing additional customer support for devices that it did not sell, it did not test, and did not certify.

If it works, great. But if you have problems that's on you.  At least they didn't suspend your service until you replace the phone

Hello there @Mantipizza092  we understand the importance of being able to use your phone quickly and are glad to assist!

If after switching your SIM card to your phone, and your device is not working with the SIM card. You will need to get a replacement SIM if you have a physical SIM card.

The SIM cards are not able to be switched around to different devices as the SI is programmed to a specific device, switching the SIN card between different devices that are not active on your plan can lead to device problems.

On our website we do have a helpful guide on how to get a https://www.att.com/support/article/wireless/KM1081808/ and the steps if you need to get a replacement eSIM.

If you have further questions or concerns, feel free to reach back out, and we will be happy to assist. Thank you for coming to the AT&T Community Forums!

@formerlyknownas A support assistant Even told me that att can suspend my service if I use or continue to use a non-certified device, I receive daily text messages reminding that the device does not work on the network and offering a free galaxy a03 that I am not interested in. Unfortunately I have to switch to tmobile

@ATTHelp Before I used esim on iphone and some android but I changed to physical sim because it's easier for me and so I don't go to the store to be told that my device is not on the list and that they cannot activate it. I have used many devices that are not on the certified list and they have worked fine for me, even the motorola worked fine for a few weeks until I started using the sim in a pixel 7 pro as I mentioned using the pixel it stopped sticking to 5g and after the sim refresh The 5g is working but the motorola does not stick to the 5g
