My Note 8 SM-N950U can't find the update

The Android Pie update have been out for several days now. Whenever I check for an update it says my phone is up to date. Is there any way of getting the update besides waiting for the OTA? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Good morning @chrisdaniels33. Thanks for posting back with a screenshot.

Samsung is correct as we will be providing the update via FOTA soon. As James mentioned earlier in the thread, we are rolling out Android 9.0 Pie in waves. You will be notified once its available for you to install.

We appreciate your patience, and want to thank you again for your post.

Thanks for responding @ATTCares I used the device help tool to no avail. I also spoke with Att tech support and they said they force pushed the update to my phone, I still don't have the update. They also told me to reach out to Samsung for support, who in turn told me that it's the carrier's responsibility to push the update to my phone. This phone never receives updates. It seems like I'm stuck unless someone here went through the same issue and had it resolved some type of way.

Hi @chrisdaniels33

You can try wiping the cache partition to see if that will trigger the software update.

Turn off the device. Hold down the Volume Up, Home, & Power keys. When the phone vibrates, release the Power key. Continue to hold down the Volume Up and Home keys. When the Android system recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys. Press the Volume Down key until wipe cache partition is selected. Press the Power key. Wait until reboot system now is selected. Press the Power key.

Yes, I've done that and still no update 🤷🏾‍♂️ I've also connected my phone to Samsung Smart Switch via my computer hoping that may trigger the update  and still nothing ...

Hi, @chrisdaniels33,

The Pie update is being released in waves. Just because you haven't received it yet doesn't mean you won't receive it. Here are things to know about software updates through AT&T. Look over the requirements to update. If everything matches up, you should be fine when the update goes through for you. If you're still feeling concerned, could you let us know your device's Baseband version?

Have a great week!

Here's my broadband information. I wouldn't be too concerned  but I never seem to get any updates to this phone  not even the security updates 🤷🏾‍♂️Screenshot_20190408-221639_Settings.jpg
