Maximum Power Saving Mode After 7.0 Upgrade

After activating MPSM and returning to regular mode, almost all of my shortcuts are gone.  Only Facebook, Clock, Messages and Settings remain. I've also had random notifications that various apps (Google Play Store, Washington Post and others) have stopped responding.

UPDATE: More annoyances -- My default keyboard changes back to Samsung after coming back from MPSM (also true before the "upgrade"), except now it would appear (http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/158966/how-to-change-default-keyboard-on-android-n) that there is no way to change it through Settings.  I had to search for G Board it in the Play store, open it and set it as my default from there.

Hi there @pduffydc!

The ability to use your device and it’s settings with ease is always understandable. With each new update for your phone, sometimes it can take time to adjust to the new settings.

Although the MPSM does not revert so many settings after returning to regular mode, we may need to check a few more settings. Since you mentioned the apps not responding, we may need to do a full device Cache removal to clear any minor glitches. To do this, please visit our Device Support page. Select your make and model phone > View all Tutorials > Troubleshooting > Reset Device > Please follow the alternate method. Instead of resetting your phone, you will instead choose to Clear Cache Partition.

If you are still having issues with your device performance, you can always visit any Best Buy location to re-apply the software update. If the second re-application is not working, you will have to reset the phone to factory settings. You can follow the above steps listed, and choose to Reset to Factory Settings.

Please let us know if you need any additional assistance!
