LG v35 ThinQ No Voicemail Notifications

Hello,

I have notifications turned on and set to the highest priority. However, for the past month and a half, I have been recieving voicemail, but not getting any notifications. I only found out when a friend asked if I got their message. Some of the voicemails I had also didn't have a corresponding missed call logged. I've tried searching about this problem and I can't find anything helpful.

Hey there @MD0791!

Let's see if we can't help to get your voicemail notification back working for you. We recommend you try the following steps to resolve your experience. Call the voicemail system to turn your notification alerts on and off:

  • From your AT&T wireless phone, press and hold 1.
  • If prompted, enter your voicemail password.
  • If you have new messages, press the * key to skip to the Main Menu.
  • In the Main Menu, press 4 for Personal Options.
  • Press 1 to turn Voicemail Notifications On or Off.

Let us know how this worked for you.

No problem, @MD0791!

We can help you reset your voicemail password. First, make sure you're in an AT&T wireless coverage area or you won't be able to create a new voicemail password.

  1. Go to your account overview and open the My Wireless section.
  2. Scroll to My devices & add-ons and choose the device you want to manage.
  3. Select Manage my device.
  4. Under Device options & settings, choose Reset voicemail password and follow the prompts.

Hope this helps.

So I reset my password, then went back into admin options. There was no prompt for 1or anything that sounded notification related. I pressed one and it said invalid option.

Hi @MD0791,

After inputting your password, you're entering the main menu for your voicemail correct? You should be pressing 1 after you press 4 from the main menu for Personal Options. That should toggle the notification on or off. If that's the specific step you're having trouble with, then please let us know. We want to make sure you're getting to the correct area.

We look forward to your response!

I pressed 4 for personal options, and there was no prompt for 1. I pressed 1 and it said it was invalid.

Hi @MD0791,

Thank you for clarifying.

Just to be clear, is this for visual or regular voicemail? If you've checked all the notifications in your phone's settings, then something is likely turned off somewhere. You may need to have your voicemail reset/reconfigured. Please visit our Contact Us page, and select mobile phone or PREPAID depending on your service. You can select Chat Live on the mobile phone selection, or call the number.

Thank you!

I have my regular mailbox and visual voicemail setup. All permissions are on and notifications are on and set to urgent. There were no options for notifications in the phone menu for my mailbox under personal options
