LG V10 Unable to Send/Receive Text

No idea what's going on but when we send a text it disappears.  When someone trys to send me a text, they get an error that the mobile number is incorrect, yet we can call that mobile number successfully.

Ah, thank you for clarifying. I would have you both delete the text conversations between each other. Sometimes if the correspondence goes on long enough it will create issues.

Who would want to be limited to phone calls? I’d much rather be able to text someone. I’ll be happy to take a closer look!


I recommend running through the Troubleshoot & Resolve. By logging into your myAT&T account, you will receive a personalized diagnostic experience specific to your device settings, provisioning, and the status of nearby towers.

When I try to send a text to my wifes phone, I get an error that it's an
invalid number (which it's not).  I can call her cell without a problem,
but any text she sends me is not received and any text I send her gets
the reject notice back to my phone.

No, that seems to be the only one.  I've deleted and reentered her
contact number.  No solution on running the trouble shooting from the
website.

Thank you again for the quick reply. I see you’re only having issues texting her number. Is the phone by chance a non AT&T device you brought with you to our network? If so I would have you check the APN settings. This will ensure the proper connections are being used.
