I kept connects 3G rather than 4G

I'm using Lg V50s thinq.

Prepaid sim for 15gb, $40 plan.

The plan suppose to connect to 4g but my phone keeps connect to 3G.

And when I try to add the Apn setting and restart the phone, the message of

"Your attempt to connect to data service was unsuccessful".

So when I went to the At&t store, they kept saying that my phone is not eligible for at&t.

However, it's new series of lg, can't be not eligible.

Currently, I'm using 4G plan in 3G speed.

I need immediate support.

However, it's new series of lg, can't be not eligible.

Just because it's new, doesn't mean it's eligible.  A phone must be on one of AT&T's two supported device lists, one for branded phones,

one from BYOB:

And the V50 is not on either list.  You phone is connecting to 3G because AT&T does not support it for VoLTE.

By the way the v50 is more than a year old, it is not the newest series of LG. And LG is no longer in the mobile business.
