How to recover lost photos after a factory reset

My friend did a factory reset on her galaxy s4 and didn't realize she didn't have her photos backed up to Google. Nor does she use Facebook or Samsung as backup areas. Is there anyway she can still recover her photos?

I don't believe so. A factory reset completely wipes everything except for the system on the phone. Does she use an SD card? If so they may be on there still.

When you perform a factory reset on Android, you will return the device to the condition it was when shipped from the factory. A factory data reset can help fix most issues that occur on Android. Any incorrect settings, glitches, bugs, viruses, or software problems on the device will be wiped clean.

But the files deleted from an Android phone aren't actually wiped from its memory. Instead, the files are only marked as deleted and invisible. The system will write data over those files in the future. You can later use specialized data recovery tool to recover lost photos after a factory reset.

After factory reset, the data stored on it are almost deleted but not every time. Many users have seen that their data is still available after factory reset. Though its very useful to fix any kind of bugs or small glitches via factory reset.

But after factory reset, if you want to recover lost photos then you can use a recovery tool like Android Data Recovery. This is one only one solution to recover lost photos after a factory reset. Using the software, its possible to retrieve deleted photos from Android phone after factory reset.
