How long should backing up to the AT&T cloud take?

I just enabled my Samsung Note 4 to backup text messages to the AT&T cloud today - about 3 hours ago. The spinning icon has come up at least 3 times now and a notification that a sync is running but then it just stops and I haven't been able to find whether it finished.  I'm unsure if it's quitting before it is finished or if it is going to back up constantly - which seems like it would be a battery drain. How long should the sync take and how do you know it worked?  It just stopped and started again in the time it took to type this message!

Thank you for reaching out on the Community Forums. I understand how concerning it can be if the AT&T Messages and Backup & Sync is not working correctly. I would love to help!


I would recommend using our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool. Once there choose Messages > I can’t back up messages to the AT&T Cloud using AT&T Messages Backup and Sync. Please be logged into your account and it will have personalized troubleshooting for your specific issue.

@ATTCares- i never asked anything about backing up a phone...I did send a message about Hard Inquiries over a week ago...Can you please respond back?
