How can my phones be unlocked?

Two phones on my account were supposed to be unlocked when I left AT&T in 2/22. Two carriers later, neither phone can function properly. One is a Galaxy 32A and the other is a Galaxy S8 active. I paid over $200 at the time for the balance of the Galaxy 32A and it's difficult for me to buy another phone. The AT&T unlock site says that they can't do it. Is there another way? My daughter and I can text, but we can't get or receive calls.

Once your phones and your final bill are paid off you request through the computerized system ⬆️

If you can text using those phones on other service provider, your problem is not that the phones are locked, it sounds like your phone numbers have not been ported properly to your new service provider.

General Requirements for All Unlock Requests

  • The device must be designed for use on, and locked to, the AT&T wireless network. 
  • It must not be reported lost or stolen.
  • It’s not associated with fraudulent activity.
  • All the device’s service commitments and installment plans are completed, and all early termination fees are paid in full.
  • The device is not currently active on a different AT&T customer’s account.
  • If you performed an early upgrade, you must wait the 14-day buyer’s remorse period before you can request to unlock your previous device.
