Group Messaging

AT&T does not allow to group message more than 10 people. I just got this Galaxy s8 and my Boss has a group message of 14 people that I have to reply to. It wont let me send the message obviously because thats 4 people over the limit. How can I get around this. Even if I could just removed 4 people to reply that would be fine. Im just worried that would create an entirely new group and would be annoying for me to start a new group on their side of the screen.

At&t keeps saying it will increase, but then doesn't do it.

Yep, and I will be switching services asap. It's just annoying I get a new phone and now I have this ridiculous issue with the service.

And on top of that I can't even unlock the phone to switch providers because AT&T's policy is you have to have service with them 60 days before you can unlock the phone to do so.

Hi @! Let's address your Group Messaging limit inquiry!

Number of people that can be in a group text message varies with Apple/ Android devices or mix. For all apple devices there is no limit, for all android devices it could be 10 or more people depending on what Advanced Messaging version that they are using. Learn more about using Advanced Messaging on the link provided. For a mix of Apple and Android devices its up to 10 people.

Update Your Device Software to the latest software for application updates. Enough space, at least 80% battery and a Wi-Fi connection is required for the update. Make sure Send us SMS  and Group Messaging is turned on at Message Settings

We hope this is helpful! Thank you for reaching out to the community!
