Getting text messages as emails from certain contacts on my phone
Texts from certain contacts always show up as an email on my phone instead of a text message. What Android setting on my Note 10+ might need to be changed to prevent this from happening? Most texts come through as texts, but these few do not.
Thanks for the help.

Thank you for the response, @patb63.
The option to manage email to texts is done through blocking the unwanted messages. If you would like to manage your message preferences you can customize your notifications, Quick responses, and Trash settings. From Messages, tap More options (the three vertical dots) > Tap Settings > and then adjust your desired options > Chat settings > Change your preferences.
Lastly, you may need to reach out to the sender to see if they are able to send texts instead of email to texts.
We hope this helps. Feel free to reach back out with any other questions you may have.

Let's help you with your texts messages coming in as emails, @patb63.
If most of your texts are coming in as regular text messages, it could be that the sender is using email-to-texts messaging. By chance are those specific contacts AT&T customers? If so, every AT&T wireless number has a corresponding email address, it allows you to send an email to that address and have it delivered to the device as a text, picture, or video message. Likewise, you can send a text, picture, or video message to any email address from your wireless device.
We can also use some additional information.
You are able to block contacts and messages on your Note 10.
Let us know how this works for you as we do have other options we can try. We look forward to your response.

The texts come as emails [email scrubbed], where the X's represent the phone number from the person sending the text. These all appear to be from a select group of folks I interact with on a frequent basis. I don't know for certain whether they are AT&T customers, but I would assume so from the email address.
I don't want to block them, but I would like to have the texts be delivered to my text message app, rather than my email.
Thanks,
Pat

Yes... in the same boat at Pat... and I dont want to block them, I'd like the texts to go to my text message app rather than my email.
