Galaxy s9+ android 10 update

Recently just joined att prepaid. It shows that there is an update for galaxy 9/9+ to android 10 but my phone has yet to receive the update. Is it because I'm on prepaid or do I need to call to have them push the update to my phone. Thanks

Hi, @Dayrew,

Thanks for reaching. We definitely understand the desire to have the latest update on your device. When that update is made available, it usually isn't sent out to all devices at the same time. It's usually a soft rollout. If it hasn't reached you yet, it should do so soon.

Here are things to know about software updates through AT&T. Look over the requirements to update:

  • It needs to be an AT&T branded device.
  • It must be on the AT&T network.
  • It should be on a Wi-Fi connection.
  • Your device should have enough space for the update.
  • The device should be powered to at least 80%.

If your Galaxy meets the requirements, you should be able to receive the update. If so, you can try to manually update the software on your Galaxy. Follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Swipe down from the Notifications bar and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Software Update, then Check For Updates.
  4. If it shows the update as available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.

Have a great week!
