Galaxy S6 won't send or receive calls. failed to send text messages

I got a new phone - a Galaxy S6 64 Gigs 2 months back. From some days now I'm not able to make or recieve phone calls. My friends said that they were calling me all day & evening leaving messages. I didn't reveive any VM. I can't even send or receive texts. It has always 2-3 bars and when I try to send a text and it fails, sometimes immediately. This is from the Maryland Heights, St. Louis area.
I contacted Technical support & they did some research on phone in safe mode & did factory reset 2 times & declared this phone has some issue.
They asked me to replace my phone with a refurbished Galaxy S6. I do not want to replace my new phone (2 month old now) with a refurbished one.

I don't know if it's settings related, a local tower issue, sim card, phone itself?

Any input would help, thank you.

Was the phone from ATT?
I would suggest a new SIM card because this is a network connectivity problem.

How does it do connecting to wifi?

If the SIM card doesn't fix the problem and it is a faulty phone:
Contact Samsung directly. You can email, but I suggest you go to the Samsung Desk at best buy.
Hint...go when it's a little busy ..... It does Samsung no good if they don't make good on a new phone.

Yeah, Its a AT&T phone.

I'll try with a new SIM card & update here in the forum.

Changed SIM Card today. I see 3 signal bars now on my phone but I see a strange problem. My friends are calliing me, bell is ringing but I am not receiving any call. (not a single call). Checked call forwarding, its off.

Not sure what is happening here 😞
