Galaxy note 4 will not boot properly

Hi everyone,
so i was given a note 4 that had a booting up problem. it was originally my girlfriend's sister and she told me that when ever it turned off(either out of battery or manually) it would have a hard time booting up. when attempted to turn on it will show the

then black screen and a semi blue and white notification. sometimes it would vibrate, restart, and repeat for about two or three time's. i first tryed that "remove battery and drain out the power form the mother board" trick and sometimes it works. i installed a fresh, clean Android OS but still have that problem. i search online and i have not gotten no answers on why this happens. it just happend to me now and i used the "remove battery" trick and its turned on now but i would like to know a salution that will completly fix this problem. there will be times im going to restart the phone and im afraid it will get stuck again. Greetings @VEST15!

I regret to hear you are encountering an issue with your Android device. I will be more than happy to assist you!

First, you will want to create a backup so you don’t lose any important data. You can choose our preferred method here. You can backup using your Google account, memory card, or a computer. Click on the one you like best and follow the instructions on the screen.

Next, you need to do is an Alternate Reset. No need to worry, this is a simple process! With the phone powered off, press and hold down the power/lock button, home button, and volume up button until you see recovery booting at the top of your screen and the Galaxy S6 logo. Press the Volume down button to scroll down until wipe data/factory reset. Press lock button to select.

If the above doesn’t yield any results, I would also try a different battery to ensure the issue doesn’t lie in the battery itself.

Thank you for letting me assist you. Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Hello again @VESL15!

You are so welcome! I thought of another possible solution you can try for this problem. If the issue is software related, a reflash done by Samsung itself might fix it. You can bring the device to a Samsung Experience booth inside a BestBuy, where the operating system can be re-applied to the phone. Hopefully this will get the device back in proper working order!

Keep us posted on your efforts, and have a fantastic week!
