Frozen Screen on Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Could Not Reboot

I had a problem with my Galaxy S7 Active.  

Galaxy S7 phone was stuck on the AT&T logo when we woke up in the morning.  We tried the following:

• Tried to restart - would not restart, stayed frozen
• Tried to hold the power + home + volume up  button - would not restart stayed frozen stayed frozen
• Tried to hold the power + home + volume down button - would not restart stayed frozen
• Removed sim card - would not restart, stayed frozen
• Finally, held power button + volume down button - restarted and finally worked!
