Most android phones are swipe to answer.

Can you answer a VERY simple question? I can no longer answer calls. I hit the phone button repeatedly when I get a call but it never answers. I have to call the person back. What is causing this? I can make calls but not receive calls. If I don't get an answer today I will go to the AT&T store tomorrow and if they can't fix the problem I'll go back to Verizon.
