Can i use a prepaid phone with my contract sim?
My contract phone is dying and i am not eligible for an upgrade and there were no budget phones in stock at my local ATT store. Can i go buy a prepaid ATT phone off the shelf at walmart/best buy and use that phone for my contract service?

Yes
If you try to unlock it AT&T May refuse because it didn't fulfill the requirement of being used on prepaid, if that doesn't matter to you then you're all set
