Call forwarding set-up from another phone

Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and I dropped it and can't even see the screen except for 1 line. How can I set up call forwarding from a different phone for my phone number to ring to until i get my replacement.

Put your sim card into another phone. Setup up forward all calls. To do that, go to dial pad. 3 dots on upper right. Select settings then more settings and follow the options to forward all calls to the number of your choice.

@monicajae Of course a phone must be activated but phone activation is done with the phone manufacturer, not ATT. The SIM card from the broken phone is already activated. It can be moved to any phone.

Far as I know AT&T requires activation for a Sim card therefore if I use another phone I would have to activate it which I don't want to do which kind of defeats the purpose.

Don't think so. I switch my simcard from phone to phone all the time. From my online account, I can see AT&T is able to detect which phone I have the simcard in.

First to check what all is fowerded dial *#21# as shown

To disable it dail

#21#

for phone to accept a sim either the sim network sever must be linked with devices original manufactured server if its AT&T device it will accept any sim carrier linked to their network OR the device must be unlocked from original network wich is easy just takes a day or two unless you pay for it.

i hope this helps i only know through experience by experimenting

i am not an employee of any network
