Bought an unlocked AT&T LG V30, however the data is not working on a new SIM card, and it still has all the AT&T apps

Calling and texting works, however data does not. The new provider is giffgaff.

AT&T customers have that option to disable data feature. The same option may be available with your new provider. Have them a call and let them know your issue.

make sure the apn is right in the phone.

Carrier unlocking a phone does not remove carrier software.
