At&T Visual Voicemail wants new password that won't upload. Can't use app.

I have used Visual Voicemail for over 2 years. Today, when opening the app a setup screen appeared, directed me to a "New Password" screen. I entered new passwords numerous times following the simple directions. The next step is to enter, which I tried numerous times, however, would not be recognized to complete that screen. I'm stuck now.

Am I lame to another step or missing something?

I solved this issue. Apparently, the security settings on visual voicemail have been upgraded to require a password between 7-15 digits, but the actual voicemail password still allows <7 digits, so it will never integrate with visual voicemail. I changed my voicemail password to 7 digits and then visual voicemail automatically signed in without prompting for any further action.

Hi @kona76gold,

Thanks for reaching out! We'd love to assist.

For starters, please let us know what type of device you're using. Next, you'll want to log in to you account on the myAT&T site or app. Select the Menu Button > Profile & Account Settings > Reset voicemail password > select Reset. Once reset you will receive a free text message with a temporary password. See if this helps with the current problems, and let us know!
