If there is no 8 or 16 digit unlock code, you must contact at&t for the code.

Directions have not changed, you remove the AT&T SIM card and put in a non AT&T SIM card.  There should be a box pop up to enter the unlock code.

Hi SusieQ1947, let's help you unlock your device!

We recommend using an active non AT&T SIM Card to unlock your device. Find your device type on our Device Unlock Code Instructions and get step-by-step instructions on how to use the code to unlock your AT&T device.

If this does not help, let us know your device make and model, and we'll pull you into private to further assist you with your unlock request.

Let us know if this helps! Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!
