After factory reset, asks for Google Account but isn't working

I had to do a factory reset on my ZTE Maven 2812. It's now asking to verify my Google account. After I type it in and then the password, it just goes right back to the same page and makes me do it all over again. My credentials are correct. It won't allow me to skip this step or do anything else.

I know this is a little late but your problem may not have anything to do with your Google account or FRP.  If you are certain you're using the correct Google account credentials, go ahead and go far enough in the set up process to connect to your wifi, then go back to the blue Welcome screen.  Get into settings by tapping the "Vision" icon at the lower left of the screen.  Enable Talk Back.  That will open a screen with a selection of tutorials.  Ignore the menu but use your finger to swipe a large capital "L"_on the screen.  Another menu will pop up.  Double tap (quickly) the one towards the bottom that says something like "text to speech settings" (all of these instructions can vary depending upon the device.  If you have trouble, search the Web for "Talk back method for FRP bypass", you'll likely find something that applies to your specific device).  Anyway, another screen will load.  Ignore it and swipe from the left side of the screen using two fingers.  That will show you the Android settings menu.  Go to "Date & Time".  Disable the option "Automatic date & time, Use network provided time".  Likely that will automatically set your date/time/zone but if it doesn't, set them manually.  Tap the 3 dots at the upper right corner of the screen and select "Auto sync".  Restart the device and proceed with the "Let's go" process using your normal Google account credentials.  If you're lucky, it will work now.  Often this is a time syncing issue with the Google servers, not an FRP or Google account issue.  Good Luck!
