Why is it near impossible to get my account number?

Please be advised, you can find your AT&T account number online or in the top-right corner of your bill. Also, you should be able to confirm your account number on your receipt of services. If you're still unable to locate your account number, we'd recommend for you to visit your nearest AT&T retail location for further assistance. 

To get your AT&T PREPAID account number, call our team at 800.901.9878 (or 611 from your AT&T wireless phone).

Note that since Prepaid doesn't have a bill there is no bill to display the account number.
