When does service begin?
New to AT&T and AT&T Pre-paid. Using/intending to use Samsung A13 5G unlocked device purchased from Samsung. Paid for Pre-paid via credit card on-line and received SIM card today. Don't have a MyAT&T username and password. When entering the ten digit phone number ported from another carrier trying to create new MyATT account on line the error message is, "That account is suspended or inactive. Call us at 800.288.2020 for help" (same message on device where was able to download MyAT&T from play store). No phone service and skype from the internet unable really to navigate automated support, keypad, etc. On the device if I turn off wifi it will (only sometimes) bring up Sign in to network. Entering the ICCID & IMEI yields, "Good news! You can skip the activation process. Be sure to save the number, add funds to the account (paid $300 via credit card July 30 via AT&T Mobile via PC not phone), etc. Shows the phone number and 16GB 12-month plan, hit continue and it times out webpage not available trying to reach paygonline.com. Card has not been charged. Be great to get the show on the road here. May try mom-n-pop ATT shop nearby tomorrow not corp store tho. Perhaps MyATT account creation should be required at point of sale so its accessible after porting & SIM.

Prepaid does not use My ATT, you use the pay go online website.
(BTW, I have a lot of problem with AT&T disingenuous advertisement of the 16 GB double data promotion. Nowhere in the advertisement does it say it is 8 GB with 8 GB of bonus which is what they are giving you, not 16 GB. If you have any complaints about this offer, ask for a refund and Port your phone number out)
Tips on the $300 plan:
AT&T Prepaid $300 for 12 months Promo (ADVICE WHEN SIGNING UP)
After signing up for AT&T Prepaid and the $300 promo offer and having issues with activation:
1. Sign up via website and fill in all appropriate information including porting info, shipping address, credit card, etc. SIM card may be shipped overnight via FedEx.
2. Once you receive your SIM card and have your phone ready, call 866 975 0050 to activate via phone and have your AT&T Order # handy.
4. Explain you'd like to activate your service and provide phone number, SIM card and IMEI. The agent will then ask you for payment to activate service.
5. \*\*THIS IS IMPORTANT\*\* To avoid getting double charged, tell them you've already provided that when you ordered and tell them they can do this via your AT&T Order #. Provide that to them and do NOT provide a credit/debit card to them.
6. If they claim they can't do this, ask to speak with a supervisor or someone else. Your account will be activated and within 30 minutes or so the payment of $300 + taxes will get charged to your credit card you provided during the initial order. Your service will not work until this payment is applied, but in my experience it took anywhere from 5 min to 25 min.
7. Once this is complete, you can setup your account online and manage your account via the website: [https://www.paygonline.com/websc/loginPage.html](https://www.paygonline.com/websc/loginPage.html)
If you provided a credit card number and end up getting charged twice, call the AT&T Payments/Refunds line at: 866 608 3007 and they will look up your account and process the refund.
