What does data mean in my text and data usage history?

I look at my text and data usage in account history some show up data with date, time, and amount of data. But if I'm on the web or stuff I will look and it doesnt show up as data. Is it stuff like snapchat or facebook that shows up? Its confusing because I can look later this wont be on there.

Hello @Dave1980,

We'd be more than happy to shed some light on your wireless data usage inquiry. You'll use wireless data anytime that you stream video and music, make video calls, play online games, or download movies and other files unless your wireless device is connected to an active Wi-Fi connection. These activities can eat up a lot of your wireless data allowance. You can Learn how to manage your wireless data use at the link provided. Please also keep in mind that we update your usage reports in myAT&T as quickly as we can, but sometimes your usage info may be unavailable or delayed. It can take 2 to 5 days for data use to post in myAT&T, so amounts shown online may not reflect all use since your last bill and time stamps for current data or text usage may be off by up to 4 hours in myAT&T. You can learn more about Usage reporting delays at the provided link. Hope this helps!
