All you have to do is just not refill your service. There is no suspension. But there's also no penalty if you just don't refill. Data only accounts can go unpaid for 11 months out of every 12 without canceling the service.
⚠️The only concern is if you have a data plan that is no longer offered. If you stop paying for a data plan, your plan May expire and you may not be able to get it back. Currently the highest prepaid data plan available is for 50 gigabytes for $55.

Suspend what service exactly? This is the prepaid forum, I’m not aware of any prepaid service for an rv, so need to know what exactly you wish to suspend to answer.

Hello, @Comet1114! We want to help you with your prepaid hot spot suspension question!
Prepaid accounts can only be suspended if you are reporting the device as lost or stolen. Your prepaid account will automatically cancel 60 days after the balance expiration date, if another payment is not made in that timeframe. If you need the account restored in January 2023, you would need to refill the balance before the 60-day mark of the current balance expiration date.
We hope this information was helpful, and please let us know if you have any additional questions.

@Comet1114 Pay no attention to the response from ATTHelp. The automatic cancel after 60 days applies to phone plans and accounts, not to data only accounts for tablets or hotspot devices. The information provided by @formerlyknownas is correct.
