SOS no cellular. Not SIM cards . No support
Yesterday my iOS iPhone 13 Pro Max showed SOS. I went to ATT store and they swapped SiM. SOS still said it was Apple phone issue. Called Apple and after 2 hr of intense tech support, advised to go to store. Apple Store checked and said phone would be rebuilt completely after 2 he. Went home did backups. Return to Apple Store and phone rebuilt, new serial number. Start phone, no cellular. Put sim into brand new equal phone, no cellular after 3 hr. Told ATT issue. Went to corporate store. They swap sim, do esim, call advance tech support. 3 hr. No cellular. Change phone number in sim and try in multiple new phones in store no cellular SOS . Advance tech says need to create case and wait 72 hr. They would get back to me on my non working cell phone. While talking to store representative, they end call. 4 hr 9pm… Now what do I do? Yes we have family and jobs and life to support with the device and no support. 9am to 9pm. I hope ATT helps asap

I am not exaggerating anything. The support commitment is horrible. A lot of words and no service or sense of urgency.

Apples SOS feature is specific to their devices and has nothing whatsoever to do with AT&T. You're going to have to continue to work with Apple.
It is not related to the SIM card it is not related to service..

Do you know how they were able to fix it? I believe I’m having the same problem.

The advanced tech support determined there were issues with the account settings. Those were corrected in cooperation with the corporate ATT store help. The tech support manager had to be involved from what I heard. Persistent troubleshooting by multiple tech support people solved problems. The issue has been resolved with my persistent patience as well as Apple and ATT tech support persistently working on it. As a customer we need to be patient but persistent.

I will say I am very disappointed in the service hours for a global company. 9am to 9pm … somebody really cares… at least setup something to submit issue, not a public forum. And provide a real queue to allow of efficient communication. Being on hold forever and then having dropped calls and re explaining everything multiple times was painful.
