Sim Card is active but cannot create password for log in
I’m transferring my number from T-mobile to AT&T prepaid.
This is what i got
Activate your AT&T PREPAIDSMdevice
- Write down your device number so you don’t forget it.
- Add funds to your AT&T PREPAIDSM balance using your myAT&T account:
- Select Continue
- Create a password.
- Go to Refill account and follow the directions.
Account information
AT&T PREPAID number
443-603-6969
Your plan
16GB 12-month
And then when click on continue it goes to the “Account sign in” page, not the page that i can create my password.
When i click on the link “Forgot password / New user” and type my number to Request online password and click on “Send temporary password” it said “The information provided is not valid. Please try again.”
I went to the AT&T store they said my number already in the AT&T system but I can’t find a way to create password to login and pay for my plan.
what should i do now.
Please help!

You didn't say what phone you are using?
If you signed up with a phone that's not compatible with a t and t, service would be blocked.

You must be porting, whenever you activate a ported number on prepaid you must call 888-898-7685, wait for the system to ask for the number you’re calling about, don’t enter it, press zero. Let the rep know you want to complete your port and activation.

Hello there @theguardian, let's shed some light on your activated SIM card.
As @formerlyknownas has stated, the device will need to be compatible with AT&T network, due to the recent 3G shutdown. To ensure our customers are prepared for this change, we have helpful information that will answer some of the most common questions:
Also as @abqphoneguy has stated you would need to contact the port department, but in the meantime if you select to port the phone number from another carrier online, you will want to confirm that it is eligible by visiting the Transfer your Number to AT&T website. Don't cancel your current phone service with your other carrier! AT&T will take care of that for you when you activate your new service.
Find out what you need to transfer a number from another carrier to AT&T wireless or Prepaid. Learn how long the transfer takes and how to check the status on the AT&T website.
We hope this works out for you! Thank you for reaching Community Forums.

Ok guys, thank you for your help. I’ve tried and it takes to much time for the waiting to transfer my number so i decided to keep my current carrier.
I hope in the future AT&T will make that easier for their customers to transfer the number.
Thank you all again!
And happy July-4.
