Signing up online

When signing up for prepaid online, when do I go through the steps for porting in my number? It looks like when I sign up I'll pay for the service and receive a SIM card in the mail. Is the porting done when I activate the SIM card? This doesn't seem to be explained on the web site.

Hello,

Yes the port is entered and held until sim arrives to activate at the time you put sim into your device and follow prompts.

It’s honestly a much quicker and easier process to visit your nearest corporate AT&T store with your current provided information. You can make sure it’s dint correctly and leave with a sim same day. In most cases the store sim is free as well.

Thanks, that's how I hoped it would go. I can't use a store since I'm getting the $300 plan, which works out to $25/month (or per "AT&T month", in which they all have 30 days).
