Sign-in to network on AT&T prepaid

I have a samsung S8 phone and have a AT&T prepaid account. Since about 3-4 days i am unable to use mobile data and when i switch off wifi and switch on mobile data it gives me this error saying 'Sign in to network AT&T'

Called customer support and was on phone with them for 1 hour on first day where we tried changing the APN settings and later resetting network settings, none of which worked. They asked me to go to a physical store and get a new sim card. Next day i got a new same card and got the same error with no data. Called again and this time after almost 3 hours on phone with AT&T still no data. Not sure what my options are here besides changing networks. If anyone has a solution would be happy to hear. Thanks!

Hey there @sdesai1204!

 

We want to look into what could be going on with your Mobile Data. If you've recently updated your software it's likely your device has been set to Never use Cellular Network.

 

Navigate to Settings, Connections, More Connection Settings, Wi-Fi Calling then toggle one of the top two options (preferably Cellular Network Preferred). From there, test your results.

I'm having the same issue as well but after clicking on wi-fi calling see no options relating to cellular network. I have a Radiant Max.

I have the exact same phone and exact same problem. There is nothing online offering a solution this far. I use my internet for uber rides so I can get around so this is pretty frustrating.

Im having the exact same problem also and do not have those options for my wifi calling. I have the Calypso. If there is no fix soon I'll be leaving for another carrier. Ive had no phone service or data for about 4 days. Soon I'll have lost a a week of the monthly service i just paid for.

FYI all, I have also been having the same issue, I just now went to Settings Connection, More Connections and then chose Reset network settings and the click Rest settings. I then restarted my phone and reconnected my preferred wifi and the issue has was resolved. I am wondering how long this will last. Good luck and hope this works for you all.

Hello, this issue started for me today. I followed suggestions in this post and many others that I found with the same issue. Nothing worked.

I was so desperate that I was about to commit myself to an hours long call with support and likely no resolution.

At the last minute an idea popped into my head to try and reseat the SIM. I

powered down the phone, pulled the SIM, blew out the slot and tray with compressed air, reseated and inserted the SIM, powered on and the error is gone and I have access to data again.

I am constantly dealing with the sign into network error for my at&t I have a one plus six phone. I've been told I have till February before my phone is "no longer compatible" for 5G. Why is this happening and how can I fix it!
