Prepraid simcard - can activate in asia?
I ordered prepraid simcard from amazon. I'm not AT&T customer yet, I'm not US citizen. Amazon sending it to Thailand. Will I be able to activate simcard and use it for receiving SMS?

Prepaid can not roam in Asia. Links below has countries that allow prepaid roaming with prepaid roaming add on. Plus you have to be in the US to activate the SIM

which cheapest service will work in Asia? When activated in US (it have to work for all contract).

Links below has postpaid plans, international roaming rates. Also you must have service for 60 days to start roaming.

You cannot start AT&T service or use AT&T service unless you started inside of the United States. AT&T phones will not activate outside of the United States because you are on another Network. Your cheapest option is to use local service in the country where are you are staying.
If you ever come to the United States then you can sign up and use AT&T service here. Using AT&T service in other countries outside of North America costs extra in addition to AT&T regular Plan cost. It's not cheap.
