Prepaid stopped charging bills to my bank.

I am out of the U.S. since March 2020 due to COVID-19, and I need help with some problems.

I used to make payment ($40.59) for Prepaid refill through the Bank of America app. However, AT&T one day just stopped charging bills for the plan, and therefore I haven't payed for the plan since January 15th, 2021. I hadn't used the phone for several months at all because I am abroad--would that be a reason?

I wanted to stop my Prepaid plan anyways, but I also wanted to make things clear.

Make what clear?

There is no penalty for not paying your Prepaid Plan other than lack of service. The account was closed in your number lost. AT&T doesn't care. There is no collection notices because there is no bill, no obligation.

That's how prepaid works.
