Prepaid phone not working off of wifi

I have recently bought a pre-paid phone. I have activated it and chose a plan and also paid for that plan. But, it will not allow me to call or send messages unless I am on wifi. How do i fix this so i can call and send messages and essentially use my data off wifi?

We understand how important it is to stay connected. After our 3G sunset, many devices are no longer supported. It is important to check out our Compatible Device List to see if your device is listed as an eligible device. You will want to search for your device by the model number. 

 

Here are a few tips you can try. Check out our Device Support by selecting the make and model of your device to view tutorials and videos that'll teach you how to:

  • Turn your phone off and back on. 
  • Turn off Airplane Mode. Most phones display an airplane icon when Airplane Mode is on.
  • Turn off Do Not Disturb or Quiet Hours. Some phones have this setting to keep you from getting calls during certain times or while the setting is turned on.
  • Turn off Call Forwarding. Press #21# on your phone and then the Call, Send, Talk, or Receiver key. 
  • Check the Blocked Calls or Reject List. On some phones, you can block calls from certain numbers or create a reject list to avoid calls you don’t want to get.
  • Insert SIM card. Steps on how to remove and reinsert the SIM card if your phone displays Insert SIM or Emergency Calls Only.
