Prepaid phone not recognized on the network

I have a new prepaid SIM in an unlocked Galaxy A13 5G. My prepaid plan is up to date and the Sim has been activated. Despite turning on and off, updating the phone etc, I keep getting the message that the phone is not recognized on  network. Is there anything else I can try?

Thank you for letting us know that your prepaid plan is up-to-date, and the most up-to-date software is on the device. 


Since we have shutdown the 3G network, please make sure your phone make and model is listed on the compatible devices for our network.

Most likely the problem is you're using a phone that's not compatible with AT&T's network. You can check the IMEI here 


If AT&T indicates the phone cannot be used on their Network you either have to replace the phone or switch to a different service provider
