Hello @Rouse1, we're happy to help with options to purchase a SIM and activate your Prepaid account.

It’s easy to transfer your current phone number when you switch. Enter your 10-digit phone number to see if it can be transferred when you Switch to AT&T.

You can get SIM card kits at one of our stores, online through att.com, or from another online retailer. The kits come with three SIM card sizes. You can use it if you want to bring your own device to AT&T, or if you just need a new physical SIM.

  • Pick up an AT&T PREPAID SIM card or SIM card kit at our stores, online, or from an AT&T national retailer.
  • Make sure your device works on the AT&T network. Not sure? Check device compatibility by confirming the make and model on our list of approved devices.

Check your device or SIM card activation instructions for more details with the steps below.

  1. Find your SIM card size by going to the Device Support tutorial for your device and selecting Specifications.
  2. Purchase a SIM card kit that is compatible with your device.
  3. Remove the SIM card from the SIM kit and choose the right size.
  4. Insert the SIM card.

Once you have your SIM card you can activate your device in our Prepaid Activation Portal by entering the SIM card number, IMEI and device details. We're here if you have any questions. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.
