Prepaid card says it's been used already.

I just bought a $45 AT&T prepaid card and when I went to add it to my account I received an error saying that the card has already been used! I tried adding it through the website, app, and even tried doing it through the *888* method on the phone and every time it gave me the same error message that the card has already been used.
