Not receiving SMS or MMS from Verizon (and providers that use Verizon networks)
For those that have been able to resolve the issue in not being able to receive SMS/MMS/texts from non-iPhone users on Verizon’s network (but they are able to receive texts from you), how did you resolve this issue?
AT&T customer service is garbage. I guarantee you an AT&T rep will comment below and tell me to go to a link, turn off my phone, or reset my
network settings. Go fly a kite.
I’ve called AT&T multiple times and all they do is read a script and say a ticket will be opened with technical team to investigate.
I received an email update today on said investigation, which stated technical staff was “unable to find a problem.”
I’ve noticed a few folks on these boards who suddenly saw text messages from Verizon numbers appear. How did you make this happen?
I even read that one individual filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau with Verizon, and shortly thereafter had this issue resolved.
So do folks think it is a porting issue with AT&T? Is something set up wrong on AT&T’s end with our plans? Or is it something on Verizon’s end? Thanks in advance for your comments!
