Not Receiving Short Code Messages

Hello,

 

I cannot receive SMS short codes on my phone. I need to receive short code messages in order to validate a bank account as well as receive public service messages. Regular text messages (from other cell phones) work fine.

 

Currently using the $35 monthly prepaid plan on an Android Motorola X4.

 

I called technical support, who performed a series of tests indicating that messages were going out, but not returned. We also tried updating the APN settings. Finally he stated that he could not fix the situation.  Is there some way to fix this issue?

Same... Well except I have the Phoenix 4 or whatever they call it... But this is my 5th phone 3rd sim card this yr and well I have not been able to receive short codes for a while (yrs) now I think about it.. the only reason I even care now is my 12 yr old Facebook profile is locked until u some how magically get a security code from them... Freaking sad ya gotta wonder and hope u get a freaking message because your phone carrier has dropped the ball... Well like I said my fb account is 12 yrs old my at&t phone number is about the same age..  I have 8 days of service yet and well if I can't figure out how to get a simple message from my phone provider ,(which I use to) I'll cut all my loses and find a new company as I create a new fb account... This is stupid to have features "disabled" turned off or whatever you all want to call it

Yes, mine is prepaid, and on autopay.

Facebook's used to work and I thought It quit do to that was my iPhone days around 2016. But I've had the same number with cingular before at&t bought them out of whatever

@harris16A  hey I do not know if you solved your problem or not... I was about ready to give up but thought I'd call 611 one more time. When a Foreigner that I could barely understand picked up I was doubtful. But I told her I was unable to receive short codes then had to explain what they were.. I don't really know what she told me but she "reset" something (altho someone else has reset something before also) but she had me turn my phone off for 2 mins then she called me back 10 mins after that and had me try and it worked. Sorry I couldn't understand what she said she reset her English wasn't good but maybe u can tell one of them the "reset that needs your phone shut down for 2 mins" sorry I wasn't much more help. But I can tell u you can get short codes and they can reset them
