New to att prepaid, says my information is invalid

I signed up for att prepaid, got the sim card, put it in my phone.

I followed the steps, signed it to activate it. It said it was already activated and I needed to continue to get it on my phone. I click continue, and it wants me to enter my number and a pin. I don't have a pin yet, so I click new user/forgot pin.

I click send me both, and for both is says my information is invalid?

I'm scared, I don't want to lose this phone number.

If your order involves porting, you have to call the number on the pamphlet to finish your activation. There’s a little section that says if you are porting your number and it’s not working, or something along those lines, it lists a number to call. In my experience, I’ve always had to call.

It ended up being a bunch of things. I spent an hour on the phone while they fixed the port that had somehow gotten super messed up.

Then I had to call again, because on top of all that I hit a glitch where new accounts weren't connecting.

But I now have my number back! So all's well that ends well I suppose.
