Keep the phone number
I have a Prepaid sim card and used it for about 1 month, and I find it another prepaid plan of 12 month is much better, but it can only applied online, so I get the 2nd prepaid sim card. The problem is I would like to keep the old number, cause it's difficult to change a phone number, is there any ways to solve my issue?

The yearly plan requires your phone number Be new to AT&T. You would have to port out to a different service provider with your account number and security PIN code, and then get the account number and security pin code for your temporary provider and port back to AT&T.
Doesn't matter how long you're out, but you will be able to port back in and replace your temporary number for free within 30 days
