How do I switch my existing prepaid account number to an existing postpaid account?

How do I switch my existing prepaid account number to an existing postpaid account? Do I need to call into prepaid customer service and release responsibility of prepaid number to existing postpaid account? Then existing postpaid account needs to call in and except responsibility of prepaid number?

@tinker492  ATTCares will not work for prepaid.

You have to go to an At&t store to have your number moved to postpaid get a new SIM card.  You need your account number and PIN code.  The account owner of the postpaid account will have to provide their information and possibly be with you to add your number.

We can provide you details about AT&T Payment Options @!

Please know that the AT&T prepaid cards can only be applied to AT&T prepaid accounts/balances. The prepaid card cannot be used towards a postpaid account.

There are other forms of payments you can use such as a debit/credit card, checking account or Visa gift card towards your postpaid account.

You can access the highlighted article above for more details and instructions.

We hope this info helps, and thanks for reaching out to our community forums!
