Help with a new Prepaid SIM order

I submitted an order for a New Prepaid SIM, which included porting a land line.

The order was submitted on 10 April, 16 days ago.

The order status says, "We're working on your order. Check back for updates."

"Expected to ship:  Mon., April 11, 2022 - Wed., April 13, 2022"

porttstatus says, "You’re all set. Your former service provider has approved your request to transfer"

I have called the port activation phone number which is automated, and they can't help me because my phone number is not yet activated, and there is no account.  I also called a ATT store, they could not help me either, they referred me to the same support numbers, that could not help me with this new order.

Is there a contact number for someone who can help investigate my order?

So what’s the problem, have you not received the SIM card? The port won’t complete and there won’t be an account until the SIM card is activated.

Problem - I have not received the SIM.

1.800.331.0500 - This number is for wireless support and can not help with prepaid.

They did provide 1-877-426-0525 which did allow me to navigate through the automated messages to get to a live person.  The could see the same status that I saw but could not determine what was holding up the send out of the SIM.

They did suggest going to a ATT retailer who could give me a SIM on the spot since the Ported number was ready to go.

I will go to Walmart and/or a ATT store today.

Thank you all for your help,

though, it is still a little un-nerving that AT&T can not figure out what the issue is with the original order.

After purchasing a phone with a SIM, I was able to call the Prepaid Port Activation Line 877-426-0525.  They were able to activate the phone with a temporary number,  I was forwarded to another group to set up my Ported account, and then port the number over.  Eventually the phone was working on the ported number for "call out" use only.

The Port from the original carrier would complete in two days.

This process took about two hours, on the phone.

One the second day, I started to receive in coming calls on the Ported number, and everything appears to be operational.

It took quite a bit of time effort to get though this process.
