I find it hard to believe that the only service provider in your area is AT&T and yet AT&T is so awful that you can't use it at all.
Is it possible you have a bad phone?
What's the ZIP code?

We're in the woods outside of ortonville mi. We've tried everyone, sprint, TMobile, their signal barely reaches out here. Got a new phone from atnt fall of 2021 and everything was ok until March 2022. Been (Edited per community guidelines) since.

I'm sure it is atnt because when I finally get a customer diservice (Edited per community guidelines) who knows something it improves dramatically for a day or two then immediately goes back to (Edited per community guidelines) service,on n off.

So everything was ok until 3G shut down.
If you're in the woods, if there is no cellular service, then you're stuck with Wi-Fi calling at home.
Another option is to purchase a cellular booster. A real booster not the thing that AT&T sells which requires home internet service. A cellular booster amplifies existing signal to create enough Network for talk, text and data. They sell them for homes and Automobiles and RVs. I have a car booster. I get about 20 gain on my dbm. Home boosters can boost up to 50 dbm.
Go to the weboost website and start doing some homework. You may want to have one professionally installed with a yagi antenna, that means directional, aimed at whatever Towers or Tower is available to pull in the best signal.
The same people that install satellite services often will install antennas for this purpose.
Does anyone else in the area that you live use cellular phones? And what service provider are they using? How are they resolving poor connectivity?

u r saying because the largest multi billion dollar telecom in history is unethically and fraudulently defaulting on their agreement to provide 1st world Data service and instead is occasionally providing 3rd world crap that I,a retired senior , should fix their fraudulently deficient junk output? I'd complain to the FCC but they own them,as evidenced by atnts successful push to end net neutrality. That's actually when their disservice went noticeably downhill.
Also, what has 3g cancellation have to do with 4g phones?

@1400dcl
Where is this in their agreement? I can tell you have not read your customer service agreement which does not guarantee service everywhere.
https://www.att.com/legal/terms.consumerServiceAgreement.html
As I stated previously it is not at&t, verizon, t-mobile, or any service providers obligation or ability to provide service everywhere. If service doesn't work it is up to the customer to switch providers. And if there is no other provider then you have to get more creative, a cellular booster would help in your situation.
I purchased a booster in 2015 for use in my car because we have multiple dead zones or near for all service providers in my town.
I don't know what net neutrality would have to do with a change in service in 2022. Providing an equal and open network to all content Has not one thing to do with coverage.
3g and 4g (HSPA and HSPA+) started shutting off in February of 2022.
2g shut off in 2017.
2G and 3G service have a longer range than LTE and 5G. If you were covered by 3G or 4G, and not LTE, turning off that network meant you have no service.
What is left is 4G/ LTE, LTE, LTE+ and 5G
There is no longer 3G service from any us Network. The last to shut off was Verizon, at the end of 2022.
As asked before:
Does anyone else in the area that you live use cellular phones? And what service provider are they using? How are they resolving poor connectivity?
If others have AT&T are not having the same problem, in the same location, then perhaps the problem is a failing phone, or a defective SIM card.
